About West Valley Deck Builders

Better outdoor spaces, right here at home.

Who We Are

West Valley Deck Builders is a licensed and insured Utah contractor that builds and repairs decks for homeowners in West Valley City and the nearby communities of Taylorsville, Kearns, Magna and West Jordan. We build custom wood decks, composite and Trex decks, patio covers and pergolas, and we repair or replace decks that are past their prime.

How We Work

We start with your yard. Every project begins with a free estimate. We look at your doors, grade, sun and space, and we listen to how you want to use the deck.

We build what you can't see. Footings below the 30-inch frost depth used around the valley, solid ledger connections, and guards where the code requires them. The boards are what you see. The structure is what keeps it safe for decades.

We handle the paperwork. A deck typically needs a permit if it's more than 30 inches above grade or attached to the house. We confirm the requirements with your city and take care of it.

We give you a clear price. You'll know the plan and the cost before anything is ordered.
